2 Octave A Major Scale

  An A Major Scale follows the exact pattern as the other major scales! Whole - Whole - Half - Whole - Whole - Whole - Half A - B - C# - D - E - F# - G# - A In a 2 octave major scale, nothing changes, you just do the same scale twice but up going up the next octave! Whole-Whole- Half- Whole-Whole-Whole-Half- Whole-Whole-Half-Whole-Whole-Whole-Half A - B - C# - D - E - F# - G# - A - B - C# - D - E - F# - G# - A The way I play this scale in the video

Quick and Quiet D Major Scale

Quick and Quiet D Major Scale I made a quick video of a one octave D Major Scale right before a mariachi quinceaƱera gig (can you tell?). I was at the state capitol, so played quietly to prevent echos. If you've played there, you know!   Scales are like all the colors of a painter's palette. For now, remember that the first note, or the tonic , of this scale is a D natural. Scales follow a specific pattern. For the next little while, we'll focus on Major Scales. Therefore, the scale follows the pattern:    Whole - Whole - Half - Whole - Whole - Whole - Half       D - E - F# - G - A - B - C# - D Happy Practicing! Michele
